Submit a slant or 2.0 mL or more of a broth culture. Specify the type of media used.

Unacceptable Conditions:

Mixed cultures or non-viable organisms.

Organisms submitted on a Petri dish.

Methodology: 20-drug MIC using a microtiter format for rapidly growing NTM (veterinary specimens).

Reported: 2 weeks from identification of NTM and a pure culture.*
