Specimen Requirements
Please use preferred tube types whenever possible.
Preferred Container/Tube Type: Green Top (Lithium Heparin) Tube
Alternate Serum Separator Tube (SST)

Collection Instructions:
- The peak specimen for oral dosing should be drawn 2 hours after dose for rapid release and 4 to 6 hours after dose for sustained release.
- The peak specimen for intravenous dosing should be drawn 30 minutes after leading dose.
- A trough specimen should be drawn before next dose.
- A trough specimen is preferred for oral and intermittent intravenous dosing.
- For steady state dosing via continuous intravenous infusion, a specimen should be drawn 12 to 24 hours after starting the infusion.
Note: Date and time of last dose are required.
