Test Code Lipid Panel w/Reflex to Direct LDL Lipid Panel w/Reflex to Direct LDL

Important Note

This test will run a Lipid Panel which includes the following tests:

Cholesterol, Total, Triglycerides, High-Density Lipoprotein,

Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), VLDL If the Triglycerides is >400 mg/dL the Direct LDL will be sent to Mayo Laboratories.

Profile Includes the following tests:

Cholesterol, Total, Triglycerides, High-Density Lipoprotein,

Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), VLDL

Container/Tube Type:

Green Top (Lithium Heparin) Tube

and

Marble Top (SST) Tube. (This tube is required to perform the Direct LDL if reflexed.)

Transport refrigerated.

Collection Instructions: Fasting (12-14 hour).
Patient must not consume any alcohol for 24 hours before the
specimen is drawn.
