Specimen Requirements

At the request of the surgeon for a pathologist’s presence in the Operating Room, call Pathology at 302-441-5952 extension 240 and request a pathologist for Operating Room #___ STAT. Give the surgeon’s name. Pathologist is present in-house from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. On nights and weekends, page pathologist on call at 302-441-5952 or call laboratory at extension 241 to page pathologist. Allow 20-minute response time.
