Submit one of the following:

Sputum: Collect 2mL sputum in a sterile plastic leak proof container (Sputum collection container) send refrigerated.

Whole Blood: 2.0 mL EDTA, refrigerated.

CSF, Pleural Fluid, Bronchial lavage/wash: Collect 2 mL in a sterile, leak proof plastic container, send refrigerated.

Urine: 2.0 mL Collect random urine in a sterile, leak proof plastic container. Refrigerated. (Minimum Volume: 1 mL)

Sputum: Refrigerated (Frozen is unacceptable)

Whole Blood, CSF, Fluid, BAL, Bronch Wash, Urine: Refrigerated.
